Browns Shoes

The Browns shoes print ad is well designed. The subject fills the frame well and it's artistic. The burst of red in the picture effectively gets your attention. The boot design and picture frame look good together and the color scheme works well, too.

This is a very tasteful print ad that plays on the undercurrent of women's keen interest in shoes. They don't really see shoes as a fetish; they see them as a work of art. You can't collect too much art; you can't buy too many shoes. When they buy footwear, they are buying art.

This shoe ad is similar to a Chanel ad in the 80s which was actually more powerful. It showed a fashionable woman casually walking down the street in Paris carrying the framed Mona Lisa.
